SAP ABAP PROGRAMMER
at Queens Borough Public Library in New York
Currently, we have an exciting opportunity in our Business Enterprise Systems Department for a SAP ABAP Programmer to provide R/3 expertise in data conversion management, application development, and security access. This position will play a key role in creating, naming standards, and developing & testing conversion programs, interface programs, security profiles, and ABAP/4 custom reports. Confers with management regarding reporting requirements, security requirements, specifications, work procedures, etc. Develops, communicates and implements SAP Security Profiles and ABAP Report procedures. Analyzes SAP requirements, designs and codes ABAP programs to meet the specifications. Knowledgeable in all modules of SAP especially HR/Payroll, and SQL Database, and EBP. Writes detailed user procedures for ABAP programs and reports. Works with external service providers and vendors to identify, select, and implement specialized ABAP Code. Understands the ASAP Roadmap. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of SAP ABAP application development and R/3 applications technical support. Experience configuring SAP modules a plus, including SAP EBP. The ability to work in diversified teams. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong technical troubleshooting and analytic skills. An understanding of systems structures and linkages affecting access - modules, especially HR/Payroll, organizational structure, codes and roles. Experience implementing and supporting ABAP within a SAP environment. Salary up to $100k.
