This individual will be Project Manager within the Insurance practice, with emphasis on the Property & Casualty side of the industry.
The individual Plans, manages and oversees activities and projects for application development. Responsible for the project plan, change management, risk assessment, status updates and delivery per milestone schedule within budget constraints. .Maintains regular, direct interaction with business customers at all levels.
Oversees one to many lines of business projects concurrently. Directs development in conjunction with technical lead using project charter, project management review meetings, and milestone deliverables. *Familiar with Software Development Lifecycles *Has managed projects in an iterative, rapid application development environment *Experience with complex technology implementations including multiple integration points *Strong leadership skills, able to drive large teams to successfully deliver complex systems *Ability to word effectively with both technical staff and business sponsors at the client, including experience with C-level staff *Strong insurance operations knowledge/experience
A successful candidate in this role will be: *Accountable for specific business unit interaction and support. *Responsible for all aspects of the resources of staff *Able to fully research business situations, identify key areas of concern at a symptom level, and structure relevant findings. *Able to effectively assess the long-term and short-term implications of decisions on the department and the company *Able to demonstrate sound analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are not readily defined and/or conflict with available information. *Able to communicate openly and effectively in a manner consistent with the audience. Demonstrating an adaptive style that is flexible and effective in gaining cooperation of others. *Responsible for managing functional objectives and priorities supporting multiple assigned business units. Responsibilities are assigned with latitude for setting priorities and decision-making using generally accepted guidelines. Results are reviewed with next level manager for clarification according to predefined objectives. *Able to develop operational plans and provide task resource estimation planning. Propose action plans that are timely, realistic and positive. Set appropriate goals for the area and monitor progress against the plan. Delegate to maximize organizational effectiveness. *Able to maintain effective partnerships across the organization and is able to influence senior management, peers and subordinates through an inclusive style and recognition of their abilities and knowledge.
