Role & Responsibilities
This highly visible Product Management position, reporting to the VP Product Management, is ideal for a seasoned product manager with significant experience in Customer Care and Billing or Enterprise Software applications. Specific expertise in Operational Support Systems for Pay Media Operators (Cable TV, Satellite TV, Digital Terrestrial TV) is highly desirable. You will be responsible for managing the team that defines the strategy and requirements for BSS' product line.
You will interface with Software Development, QA, Client Services, Marketing and Sales Product Strategy.
Expertise in the Pay Media Customer Care and Billing market and how to position product line, Define core product and market strategy , Define a Pricing Strategy for the Product Line, Define a Go-To Market strategy for Product Line Additions, Develop Business Plans or Business Justification Documents for new Customer Interaction
Understand functionality or Product Line Extensions customers' business processes and long term initiatives and be able to translate this into a vision for the Product Line
Develop and evangelize product strategy, capabilities, differentiators, positioning and benefits to all management levels. Support Sales Teams with onsite and sales activities and Product Delivery.Deliver training to sales engineers on new product release. Recruit, Train and/or retain a team of approximately 6 to 8 product owners (business analysts)
Professionally manage team including establishing employee performance goals, frequent and meaningful feedback, personal/professional development and training as necessary
Provide a motivating and rewarding environment.
Requirements
" Management or Product Delivery for OSS Applications in the Pay Media Industry
" Preferred Industry experience in at least one of the following:
" Customer Care, Billing, CRM ,Provisioning, Product Catalog.
" Ability to develop and deliver credible business verbal communication skills
" Previous Management experience plans and engage senior management
" Previous experience in a fast paced high tech company
" Willingness to Travel
" Outstanding interpersonal, problem solving and planning skills
" BS in Information Technology or closely related field
