Position: Missile Warning (MW) Functional Manager*s Office (FMO)

Location: Offutt AFB, NE

Durations: 2 years

Salary: Negotiable

Travel: Up to 30%

Scope:
The day-to-day functions, roles and responsibilities of the missile warning (MW) Functional Manager*s Office (FMO) are performed by USSTRATCOM/J31. The MW FMO has responsibility for both Theater Missile Warning (TMW) and the strategic MW function of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITW/AA.) The ITW/AA FMO responsibility is shared with NORAD.

Objective:
The candidate shall provide synchronized Advisory and Assistance Service (AS&S) support for ITW/AA, TMW, and Shared Early Warning System (SEWS) architectures and operations to improve the Space mission of Force Enhancement. The candidate shall also support planning and integration efforts between MW and other mission areas, to include missile defense (MD.) The candidate will use current doctrine, publications, and coordination with other responsible organizations as a basis for planning and support.
Responsibilities:

  • Document the current TMW Tier 1 and SEW architectures (data and voice).
  • Plan and coordinate Theater Event System (TES) exercises
  • Assist in the FMO configuration management/change control oversight function by providing technical advice and assistance regarding proposed ITW/AA, TES and SEW system modifications and fixes
  • Support the configuration control boards through agenda development and meeting support
  • Assist the FMO by hosting and representing USSTRATCOM at various conferences, meetings and working groups that address MW and MD operations, procedures, training, analysis, etc.
  • Create and maintain a FMO SIPRNET website
  • Support development of MW analytical standards and performance tracking for use in studies, analyses and exercises in the development and evaluation of current and future operational MW Systems.

Requirements:

  • Experience creating and maintaining FMO websites
  • Experience providing support development of MW analytical standards

Must have TS/SCI clearance at the time of acceptance
