Responsibilities include:
Working closely with business users and Business Analysts to understand and develop requirements and functional specifications
closely with the application architect and fellow engineers to ensure solutions match the architectural vision
Writing java code, unit tests, and java docs.

Development experience and skills include:

• Pragmatic, well factored Object Oriented code construction
• Automated unit testing (JUnit, JUnitEE, TestNG, MockObjects, etc)
• Thorough knowledge of industry best practices, standards and trends
• Experience with the following frameworks: Spring (w/ ACEGI), JAX-WS, JPA, JMS, Hibernate.
• 3-5 years of experience working with high-transaction volume, OLTP systems
• 3-5 years Object oriented development including Java / J2EE server application programming
• Knowledge and experience in Web Services and SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture)
• Experience with JDK 1.5+ (Annotations, Generics)

• Working knowledge of UML

Pluses:

• Experience with Maven 2, AOP, Oracle SQL and Dozer

• Familiarity with WebLogic 10 and Solaris 10
