The Web Project Manager is a key member of The Medical Foundation (TMF) team and will split her/his time between the needs of Health Communication Services * a department within The Medical Foundation that designs, develops and maintains numerous websites for clients * and the web needs of the organization as a whole, particularly the organization*s website

The Web Project Manager will be responsible for the oversight of all existing websites, working with contract developers and the Health Communication Services (HCS) staff and other TMF staff, including maintenance and expansion. HCS may develop more websites in the future. In general, websites are designed and developed as part of larger communication strategies and campaigns which are managed by HCS staff.

The Web Project Manager must be extremely organized, a strong communicator, and possess strong knowledge of * and keep current with * online media trends and innovations. S/he needs to work closely with other members of TMF*s Health Communication team and other TMF staff and act as an advisor and support on web-related matters. This person also needs to have the ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (listed below).
  • At least five years of experience in the field of web management (as defined in the summary), including experience managing clients and outside vendors.
  • Ability to lead and work well with other members of TMF*s Health Communication team and other TMF staff.
  • Strong budget design and budget management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives (both client- and team-related) simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working with/for non-profit organizations a plus.
  • Must be a resident of Massachusetts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise and support HCS and TMF staff around web and web-related needs including but not limited to web development, open source and adjunct software, accessibility, domain registration, hosting, web analytics.
  • Ensure that all websites developed by The Medical Foundation*s Health Communication Services, and the TMF main site, are functioning properly.
  • Identify solutions and appropriate vendors (through a competitive bidding process, as needed).
  • For the TMF main website in particular, be responsible for webmaster responsibilities such as server maintenance, content updating, troubleshooting, analytics, and enhancements.
  • Manage web-related needs and projects, including budgets, timeline, vendors, scopes of service, and deliverables; and coordinate with TMF IT staff as necessary.

TMF offers competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package including paid vacation, family or individual health insurance, and a defined benefits retirement program through TIAA-CREF. Salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000.
