We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join our Hosting team. Tomax Hosting provides product and technical expertise in managing Tomax retail management software applications. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in customer support and database administration.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Providing design assistance, analyzing and managing application and database solutions with technical emphasis in performance monitoring, problem identification and resolution; * Assisting with tuning and monitoring of the operational efficiency and technical integrity of applications in support of internal and external customers; * Assisting with installations, patches and upgrades to Tomax Retail.net products; * Performing data analysis, testing and software configuration of customer environments as necessary; * Analyzing trends and reporting potential problems or areas of improvement; * Prioritizing numerous issues of varying severity, and effectively managing the resolution of all issues within accepted service levels; and * Assisting with the creation and maintenance of departmental documentation and standards

The successful candidate must possess:

* Experience with Oracle 9i/10g/11g database and application services including installation, maintenance, monitoring and backups; * Significant hands-on experience with PL/SQL, SQL Plus, stored procedures/packages, import/export, database administration and replication; * Basic proficiency in running Oracle on Linux or other UNIX platforms; * Experience with NAS Storage systems is preferred, though not required; and * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers through entire implementation process.
