NOTICE: This position is located in downtown TOPEKA, KS, in the Bureau of Computer Services, at the Eisenhower State Office Building (ESOB).
This is an UNCLASSIFIED position with BENEFITS. The salary range is $74,000-77,000 annually. The selected candidate will serve an overlapping appointment with the current incumbent for 2-4 weeks.
This position (Infrastructure Technologies Manager) manages the activities of the 5 Technical teams and the Computer operations team totaling 36 operations, procurement and support people focused on the support of the Network, telecommunications, security management, operations, desktop management and IT procurement for the support of the technical business operations of the agency.
This position is also responsible for the oversight of the KDOT fiber optic network for ITS.
As manager of the Infrastructure Technologies Unit, this position plays a significant role in the development of the strategy and direction for the network, telecommunications, technical architecture and security of the agency.
The manager coordinates with other managers in this bureau as well as in the agency to ensure the technical infrastructure and standards are articulated to the agency and available for the agency to efficiently and effectively perform business functions.
Provides effective leadership to their assigned work unit, including such things as: leading by example, creating objectives, quarterly performance feedback, timely performance review, coaching and counseling, discipline, and providing employee development opportunities for employees.
