Job Title:Report Developer/SAS Programmer
Duration:3-6 months contract to hire
Location: Port Washington, NY
Pay Rate: DOE
Interview: In person
Job Description:
Our client has an immediate opening for a Report Developer to create custom reports for our customers. Primary functions include report creation, QA, maintenance and technical documentation. The successful candidate must be able to create production-quality automated processes that extract data from diverse platforms and transform into client-ready presentations in Microsoft applications. This position requires a technical resource with excellent data analysis and communication skills and the ability to manage their workload according to customer commitments.
Responsibilities
Work with business units to clarify and document accurate reporting requirements; Provide quotes for custom reports
Develop new custom reports and modify existing reports using a variety of software applications; Long-term objective is to transition all reporting to a SAS platform
QA the report and work with the BU to validate that the report functions according to specification
Work directly with our Process team to migrate custom reports into our regular production schedule as necessary
Requirements
3+ years in a Reporting, Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence environment
Base SAS and SAS Enterprise Guide 5+ Years
SAS Macros and Stored Procedures 5+ Years
SAS/Access (emphasis on Oracle) 5+ Years
SAS ODS 5+ Years
Microsoft Office Suite 5+ years
VBA Macros 2+ years
Knowledge of SQL a plus
Ability to document specifications and technical processes
Strong problem solving and technical/analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project Management skills
