Learning & Development Project Managers

We are working with our client to identify four (4) Project Managers to manage the full lifecycle of various learning development projects, including design, development and deployment. You will accountable for the on-time and on-budget delivery of multiple projects. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing budgets. This position is on-site in Houston. Expenses for travel and accommodations will be covered. Benefits including medical, dental, vision and PTO days are available.
In this role, you will
? Team with external and internal clients to develop and integrate learning solutions and provide advisory services.
? Be accountable for design, development, delivery, and quality of all project deliverables.
? Manage, coach, train, staff and evaluates teams consisting of 4 to 15 people (IDs, developers, graphic designers, learning consultants, contractors). Provide effective and structured timely feedback on “project” performance.
? Develop and execute project work plan according to project scope, deadlines, client needs and resource staffing.
? Manage daily project team activities including progress, customer interactions, issue resolution and issue escalation. Manage project budget, identify and mitigate project risk.
? Manage the scope change process. Manage project infrastructure, which may include work environment, technology and tools, training, and morale.
? Identify innovative learning solutions for customer learning needs. Maintain a current knowledge of instructional design principles and theories.
? Manage the customer relationship, including status meetings, gathering customer requests, maintaining customer satisfaction, billing preparation, and status reporting. Manage customer*s expectations and establishes the project team*s expectations by defining scope and role responsibilities.
? Develop presentations, lead meetings, facilitate design sessions, and advise customers on all aspects of learning solution design and development.
? Identify, define, and escalate add-on work by establishing customer relationships, gathering customer*s intelligence, and recommending innovative solutions resulting in a business value proposition.
? Completes work simultaneously with 1 to 3 customer project sponsors. Team with customers to ensure consistent and seamless project delivery.
? Make project staffing decisions based on project priorities, resource skill set, availability, and professional development opportunities.
? Articulate the basic concepts, terms and theory of instructional design to customers and project teams.
Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree is required. In lieu of degree, 4 years equivalent experience and personally acquired knowledge is required.
? PMI Certification preferred
? 4+ years of Instructional Design and course development experience. Demonstrated knowledge of instructor-led, virtual classroom, and web-based delivery methods.
? 4+ years of experience in project management within the learning industry, technology industry or comparable industry. Managing teams of 4 or more people in all phases of the project life cycle (initiate, perform, close, and operate).
? Demonstrated ability to develop team members through coaching and mentoring.
? Demonstrated leadership abilities and ability to make sound decisions.
? Proven record of providing superior customer service to individuals and organizations. Demonstrate ability to add value to customer interactions
