Core Java/Multithreaded Programmer

We are currently seeking a talented developer interested in developing core trading engines and equity trading strategies (algorithms) that interface with all the major stock exchanges for the Algorithmic Trading Group at our prestigious financial services client.
The desk and the client demand the continuous refinement of these algorithms to improve both the trading performance and the computation efficiency and scalabilities. This makes the technology team a dynamic environment to work in. They leverage the latest trends in technology to deliver this high-availability, high-performance automated trading system.
Primary Responsibilities Include: – Algorithm development & support in Java – Algorithm Trading Engine development & support – Algorithm supporting tools (GUI, reporting) development & support.
Desired Requirements:
-2+ years of Object Oriented Programming (C++, Java)
-Multi-threading
-Desire to work on a mission critical trading system.
-Must be able to write production grade code.
-Good communication skills.
-No prior financial industry experience required.
-Post graduate degree in Computer Sciene or Math related preferred
